Dr. David Reath serves as Chairman of the Public Education Committee of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, (ASPS). He is an official spokesperson for the ASPS and also served for three years as Member-at-Large of the Board of Directors of the ASPS.

He has been in practice in Knoxville, Tennessee since 1986 and is an Associate Professor at the University of Tennessee Medical Center.

He graduated from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas. His internship and residency were completed at the Medical College of Virginia in Richmond and he performed his Fellowship in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia.
