Planning Your Visit

Prior to your arrival, we will complete as much pre-operative work as possible so that no amount of time is wasted. In fact, you can take the first step in that process by completing and faxing us the new patient form and medical history questionnaire and sending us photos by email, or by regular mail if you prefer. We ask that you arrive in Knoxville at least 2-to-3 days before your surgery date so that our Dr. Reath can complete a full physical evaluation and the final pre-operative workup. Depending on your procedure, we may request that you spend at least 10-14 days in Knoxville so that your progress can be monitored.

Please supply us with your hometown physician’s contact information so that we can discuss your recovery needs with him or her once you return. You will also want to consult with your primary care physician before coming to Knoxville so that any labs or necessary tests for medical clearance can be obtained.

We recommend that you bring a friend or family member along so you will have someone to take care of your needs during recovery. In that doesn't work for you, we do have an After Care Service that we work with. We can discuss the details with you during your consultation. Rest assured that Dr. Reath and his staff are committed to help in monitoring your progress and tending to your post-operative needs.
