Appealing New Chemical Peels
(These are not your old-fashioned glycolic peels.)
Chemical peels are definitely experiencing a newfound popularity and with these new peels, it's easy to see why. Chemical peels are now the fourth most popular nonsurgical procedures in the country (after Botox, Fillers and Laser Hair Removal). We think it is because of the marked improvement in their formulations.
Our new generation of chemical peels from Results Rx, Société Clinical Skincare and Young Pharmaceuticals is a far cry from old-fashioned glycolic acid peels which could be harsh and irritating to the skin without very exciting results. In fact, many of the new peels contain no glycolic acid at all.
Rather than just treating the superficial layers of the skin like peels of the past, these new chemical peels penetrate to the dermis, rejuvenating the skin from the inside out. Chirally-corrected active ingredients actually help to remodel the skin for less down time and more visible results.
If you are needing a jump-start, chemical peels can be boosted and layered for powerful results never before possible. They can be blended and customized for every skin type, including Rosacea and Melasma. Some peels are best in a series and others are designed to stand alone.
Lasers vs. Chemical Peels vs. Vibraderm
These treatments focus on regenerating the skin and improving texture, fine lines and wrinkles, but the way each works is different. Laser resurfacing has a fixed and targeted area of penetration. It is enhanced by the number of passes performed. The penetration and results from a chemical peel is dependent both on the concentration of active ingredients and the amount of time they are in contact with the skin. Vibraderm is a physical exfoliation of the top layers of the skin, followed by a deep infusion of prescription-strength topicals.

Brand New! Melanage Skin Lightening Peel-
We call the Melanage Peel and Products a "Lightening System" because it includes both an in- office treatment and prescription-strength skin care products you take with you to use at home.

Baby Steps: The Melanage Mini-Peel- The Melanage Mini-Peel is an option if you want a skin lightening peel without the downtime of the full-strength Melanage Peel. It is a great introduction to chemical peels because it is a Hydroquinone-free and brightens your skin with less redness and peeling. Like the Melanage Peel, it also comes with an after-care Take Home Kit included. If you are looking for powerful results, the Melanage Mini-Peel can be performed in a series of 4-6 treatments to achieve comparable results to our full strength Melanage Peel.

Gloss Retexturizing Peel- If the texture of your skin is what's bothering you, then Gloss Retexturizing is your peel of choice. We are fondly calling it the “Real Housewives of Knox County Peel” because it is not only great for repairing the skin, it is recommended to prepare it for a fabulous event. Gloss Retexturizing is a luxurious hybrid peel containing TCA, Salicylic Acid, Azelaic Acid and Retinol. Like the Melanage and the Melinage-Mini, the Gloss Peel includes a take-home kit with a precisely tailored skin care regimen to continue your experience and maximize your treatment results. Transition Peel-
Acne-prone, sun-damaged and aging skin types rejoice! The Transition Peel is the answer to your prayers. Unique because it is customized with boosting agents per condition, the Transition Peel is formulated with two different peeling agents that attribute to collagen production. Two peptides discovered in a National Institute of Health Study add to its effectiveness.
Excellent for acne-prone, sun damaged and aging skin types. A series of 4-8 chemical peels are recommended.

Bene-Factor Peel
Kiss sun-damage and hyperpigmentation goodbye with the Benefactor Peel! It softens, exfoliates and stimulates your pores while, at the same time, lightening, brightening and repairing damaged skin. Clear Skin Peel
Clear Skin Peel is a moderate-depth, soothing, medical-strength exfoliating peel recommended for all grades of acne and impure skin conditions. By blending chirally-correct acids (think of the red mittens), this peel works deep within the skin to fight bacteria and heal acne lesions. As if that isn't enough, it also contains anti-inflammatory and anti-redness ingredients to combat the irritation associated with acne.

Acai Berry Antioxidant Peel- Known as the “Super Fruit” because of its anti-oxidant  qualities, the Acai berry is harvested from the Amazon region of Brazil deep in the rainforest. This gentle peel takes a tip from nature by using active acai berry extract, along with two other natural antioxidants, Green Tea and Resveratrol (found in red grapes and wine), to invigorate and exfoliate your skin. Combining anti-oxidants with mild Lactic and Alpha Hydroxy acids restores a youthful glow without visible irritation. Great for all skin types. Can be done every two to three weeks and works best with a Dermaplane Treatment.
Acai Berry Peel- $75
Dermaplane: Yes, we do dermplaning! Lots of people have been asking because it is quite rare to find an aesthetician who can do this treatment well. A dermaplane treatment serves two purposes. It exfoliates the skin in preparation for a chemical peel and removes any "peach fuzz" on your face. Removing this hair along with your dry, dead skin cells results in a much smoother palette for your makeup and increases the penetration of your peel of choice. This treatment can stand alone as a hair removal option or an add on to any facial peel for increased penetration.

Micronage Peel Designed Specifically to Use in Conjunction with Vibraderm Treatments- Now you can have the physical exfoliation of your vibraderm treatment enhanced by a chemical peel loaded with anti-oxidants. In fact, Young Pharmaceuticals designed the Micronage peel specifically for use after Vibraderm treatments.
Here's how it works: After your vibraderm treatment, our Licensed Aesthetician Heather McNeal applies the Micronage peel to your face for ten minutes, then wipes it off with a Retinol pad. Then, a second pad is applied and you leave the office with the peel on, then wash it off in two hours with the cleanser provided in your post-care kit. Included is an easy-to-use aftercare kit with multiple products that you use for 10 days while your skin is exfoliating.
Micronage Peel and After Care Kit- Optional $50 Add-on to your vibraderm procedure
New! Saturday Night Brightener- This is a take-home "mini" chemical peel that you can use once a week to maintain and extend the results of your in-office procedure. It is one of our favorite new products because it battles hyperpigmentation without the use of hydroquinone. It's powerful stuff so initially you want to leave it on for 15 to 30 minutes before you wash it off. Eventually you may be able to work up to leaving it on overnight. $48
