Introducing Dr. Reath
Dr. Reath is a longtime resident of Knoxville where he resides with his wife and three children (all of them teenagers!). Dr. Reath and his family enjoy rowing, sailing, cooking together and UT football. When not in his office, Dr. Reath can usually be found singing baritone in the choir at the Church of the Ascension, cheering at one of his children's many sporting events, or racing competitively with his wife in their double shell.

Why you should consider using Dr. Reath
There are two main reasons to choose Dr. Reath as your plastic surgeon: his personal approach and his professional qualifications.
Dr. Reath's motto is "The personal approach to personal change." This is not just a catchphrase. His passion is using his skills and abilities to help his patients improve the quality of their lives. Routinely, patients comment on how pleasantly surprised they are by the amount of time Dr. Reath spends with them personally.
Earlier we stressed the importance of only using doctors who are board certified by the American Society of Plastic Surgeons.
Not only is Dr. David Reath board-certified, this year he was elected to a seat on the board of directors of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons. He is the only plastic surgeon in the region to have this honor.
In addition, Dr. Reath is
-
-
- Selected by Cityview Magazine as one of Knoxville's "Top Docs" five years in a row.
- A member of the American Society For Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, an elite group of board-certified plastic surgeons who specialize in cosmetic surgery of the face and body.
- President Emeritus of the Eastern Association for the Surgery of Trauma.
- A Fellow of the American College of Surgeons.
- A member of the prestigious Committee on Trauma.
- A national and international renowned speaker and lecturer.
- An Associate Professor of Plastic Surgery at the University of Tennessee.
Dr. Reath received his training as a general surgeon at the Medical College of Virginia in Richmond and completed plastic surgery training at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia.

Dr. Reath recently traveled to Washington to advocate for the CARES legislation, which would prevent insurance companies denying reconstructive surgery to children born with deformities. He is pictured here with Senator Lamar Alexander and Senator Bob Corker from Tennessee.
