Before and After Circumferential Body Lift- She is 5’9” and weighs 148 pounds. Here is a 34-year-old woman who had gastric bypass surgery three years before she came to our office. After losing over 140 pounds, she was very concerned about the appearance and excess skin of hanging from her abdomen and posterior hips and buttocks. Dr. Reath performed a circumferential body lift, sometimes referred to as an “around the world” lift. She is pictured before and six months after her surgery. (Because of the large amount of excess skin to be removed, a vertical incision was necessary on her abdomen. Not all patients need the vertical incision during a body lift.)
Before and After Extended Abdominoplasty- She is 5'3" and weighs 147 pounds after an 80-pound weight loss. Here is a 24-year-old woman who wanted to get rid of her excess skin after massive weight loss by diet and exercise. Because of the amount of excess skin to be removed, a vertical incision was required along with the regular abdominoplasty incision. (She elected not to have a body lift to expand the area treated to her hip roll region.) She is pictured here before and six months after her extended tummy tuck looking like a different person!

Here is a 39 year old woman who came to us after losing 185 pounds the hard way- through diet and exercise. She was very concerned about her excess skin which became looser as she continued to drop in weight. Dr. Reath performed a circumferential body lift during which he removed over 11 and a half pounds of excess skin and subcutaneous fat. Because of the amount of excess skin, Dr. Reath added the vertical incision, which was necessary to achieve her dramatic result. Not all body lifts require this. She is pictured here before and six months after her procedure literally a new woman.
