A few years ago I wrote a blog about the members of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS) who are practicing in Knoxville. Well, nothing stays the same. Several of my colleagues have retired after having had very successful practices, and several new members have moved into the area and have become my new colleagues. So, it seems like a good time to update the list of our local ASPS members.
I have written much about the need to seek the right plastic surgeon(s) when you are considering elective cosmetic surgery. There are physicians in Knoxville who want to be seen as plastic surgeons, but don’t have the training. They try to make the whole issue as confusing as possible for potential patients. But it can be made very simple by looking for the ASPS members, and by seeking out our ASPS logo.
All ASPS members are Board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery, Inc, the only board recognized by the American Board of Medical Specialties. This assures you that we have not only received the proper training, but have passed the qualifying exams attesting to our expertise. Further, as members of the ASPS we must adhere to a strict code of ethics, participate in continuing medical education, and that we only operated in accredited facilities. As a patient, these are all important things for you to consider.
So, without further ado, here is the list. If you are looking for plastic surgery in Knoxville, these are your experts.
