Kybella® for Double Chin

kybella logo

Kybella is a non-surgical injectable for reducing small, well-defined areas of fat under your chin. It is very well-studied and ten years in the making.

The injection contains a naturally occurring molecule called deoxycholic acid. Its job in the body is to aid in digestion by breaking down fat. When injected into the fat beneath your chin, Kybella causes the destruction of fat cells. Like with the CoolMini, once destroyed, those cells are naturally flushed out of the body.

A Kybella treatment consists of a bunch of small injections at one time. While patient experiences vary, most notice visible improvement in their chin contour with two to four treatment sessions spaced at least one month apart. The most common side effect is swelling which can be significant.

Keep in mind that each patient is unique and your results may vary.

Meet Melissa Chambers, R. N.

Meli

Aesthetic Nurse Injector

We are thrilled to have Melissa join our practice. For many of you, she needs no introduction.  Her reputation for technical excellence and elegance is forged by 21 years of injecting experience right here in Knoxville.

Compassionate, nurturing, and calming, Melissa takes the time to listen to patients while kindly and expertly guiding them towards the results they’re wanting to achieve.

All of her patients from “Nervous Nellies” to injectable veterans are impressed by her personalized approach to their care and her gentle touch with a needle.

Melissa started her career as an Aesthetic Nurse Injector back in 1998. Those were the days of bovine collagen before anyone had ever heard of hyaluronic acid fillers like Restylane and Juvederm.

In an area where new products are often coming to market, Melissa is uniquely qualified to choose the right product for each patient’s budget and goals, rather than wasting money on trendy, short-lived injectables.

In addition to her vast experience with injectables, Melissa’s background in dermatology and proficiency with lasers is a great asset to our patients. Together, Melissa and Christy and Dr. Reath will evaluate the newest technologies and ingredients to give the best results to our patients.
