(Featuring four facial speeds including an exclusive PRO speed – plus a body model. The Smart PRO is only available for sale by skin care professionals.)
When our most respected skin care rep recommended the Clarisonic Smart Pro to us for use with her products we were a bit skeptical. Perhaps it was just the thought of adding an extra step to our skin care regimen but we were initially hesitant to try it. Would it be worth the time and the expense of the product? Could we really see a difference since we are already using the best skin care products available?
After using it at home and on our patients in the office, we are true believers now! It’s not just that it sets a new standard in cleansing the skin, it is the ablility to use the Clarisonic Smart Pro with active ingredients to take them to a new level of effectiveness. Finally we can provide an easy way for our patients to physically infuse active topical products deep into the skin at home. It gives us an effective new weapon in fighting difficult skin care conditions like hyperpigmentation and acne. $265
How Does the Clarisonic Work?
The Clarisonic sonic technology oscillates back and forth at 300 movements per second, working deep within the pores to gently loosen dirt and oil. Clarisonic removes 11 times more makeup than traditional facial cleansing. It also helps reduce oily areas, dry skin patches, blemishes and the appearance of visible pores.
The Clarisonic Professional is only available through physicians. It has three adjustable power levels to treat each individual skin care type. Thorough but gentle cleansing is so important for the skin of people suffering from seborrheic dermatitis, rosacea and acne. Clarisonic Professional has settings to treat sensitive skin, including skin affected by complicated conditions, yet can be adjusted for skin care veterans looking for a power boost.
The Pro model supports Delicate, Sensitive, Normal and Body Brush Heads to accommodate different skin types. The Mia works with all the brushes except for the Body Brush. We carry them in our store. $25 each
Clarisonic was featured on Good Morning America when Technology Contributor Becky Worley discovered it at the Consumer Electronics Show.
The photos below show the difference it makes with removing makeup. This could be why Oprah picked the Clarisonic as one of her “Favorite Things”. “It’s a miracle massage for your face,” Oprah says.
In a split forehead randomized study, equal amounts of fluorescent makeup were placed on the forehead of each subject. The level of glowing makeup is indicative of dirty skin (less glowing means cleaner skin). *Scroll to the bottom of this page to see more about the Fluorescent Makeup Method Study.
A Sonic Boost for All of Your Cosmetics
Clarisonic Pro cleans your skin so effectively that it actually prepares the skin to better absorb skin care products, and it creates the perfect canvas for makeup. Finally, your serums and moisturizers have the chance to work the way they should, and your makeup goes on smooth and even.
Oh So Clean, but So, So Gentle
Not all skin is created equal. We all have our problem areas — from dry patches to blemishes, from pre-mature wrinkles to sensitive skin. We were worried that the Clarisonic Pro might not be suitable for our patients with the most sensitive skin. Not so. Our patients with sensitive skin found that it actually helped soothe the skin, rather than irritate it.
It’s Not Just for Girls
In a recent study, the majority of men reported a closer shave when the Clarisonic Smart Pro was used to apply their shaving lubricant. Guys are hard to buy for and what could be cooler than using a power tool in the bathroom! Just don’t buy it in pink. (smile)
